Summary: People living with dementia may exhibit behaviors as a way to communicate their needs and feelings as the disease progresses. Learn how dementia can change a person’s behavior, possible triggers and person-centered care approaches to address behaviors.

Speaker: Nicol Smith is the Executive Director with Heritage Place Assisted Living in Burleson. She has worked with senior adults for over 20 years. Her passion is assisting families better understand their loved one’s dementia and how to communicate and connect with their loved ones. Smith has been an Alzheimer’s Association Community Educator for more than 10 years.
