Each session will feature a childcare professional who can provide your family with valuable early childcare resources and information.

Family Place is focused on child-led play that will help your infant/toddler with various skills by:

  • Increasing social and verbal interaction
  • Supporting bonding and attachment between parents and their very young children
  • Promoting early learning
  • Providing access to developmentally appropriate toys and materials
  • Beginning the process of lifelong learning

The Family Place Workshop not only benefits your young child, but will provide several benefits to you as a parent/caregiver, such as:

  • Increasing awareness of library services
  • Increasing awareness of community agencies and services
  • Lessening parents’ feelings of isolation
  • Increasing knowledge of child development, early literacy, and learning
  • Promoting interactions between parents and children

  • Encouraging and empowering families

*Please register once for your family. Each registrant will be signed up for all five sessions. Siblings who are 5 and younger are welcome to join and can also benefit from the free-play activities and playing with their little sibling(s), but the focus will be on the 1-3 age range.
