Program Description

Event Details

Join an experienced art educator, Stacy, for an interactive art discussion about major art movements, artists, and techniques.

This month, step back in time to New England in the mid nineteenth century as you discover the first painting movement native to the United States, the Hudson River School. Learn why these artists found the courage to separate their artistic styles from European tradition and how their works set the stage for American art for decades to come.
