
Join us as we dive into the world of coding and other technologies! Learn to coding with Fiero Code, a self-paced software for kids featuring coding tutorials and dozens of real-world projects. Learn 3D modeling using Tinkercad, a free web-based 3D design and modeling tool that allows users to create models for 3D printing.
We have registration set to 10 based on the number of devices we have at the library available to loan out. Fiero Code and Tinkercad are also accessible on Chromebooks, laptops, and most tablets, so you are welcome to bring your own device and skip registration.

Monthly art classes for tweens
Registration Required - Registration does not guarantee a spot in the class. There will be a raffle drawing for 15 spots and the winners will be alerted the Monday prior to the class.
Step into your artistic journey at the Benbrook Library! Be introduced to the elements of art, examine historical or contemporary artists, and develop artistic skill. Paints, pencils, inks, or watercolors will be used by your “young Van Gogh” to create a masterpiece in every session. Supplies will be provided by the library.

Story Hour is a hybrid weekly storytime for children ages 7-12 where we read through classic and beloved chapter books. Each session will be recorded and uploaded to our website so no one has to miss out on a story. So, if you have a kid who's homeschooled or your child just needs something to pull up and watch after school, this is the storytime for you!
When: Every Thursday at 1:30 pm

LEGO club encourages participants to learn while having fun. While stacking and constructing with these seemingly simple bricks, you'll sharpen your problem-solving skills and teamworking abilities. The open-ended nature of this program allows for creative expression and free building.
When: 3rd Thursday of every month at 4:00 pm

Are you a young person who enjoys reading, chatting about books, crafting, and/or snacking? Bluebonnet Book Club may be the perfect book club for you!
We'll read a Bluebonnet Award nominee, discuss the book, do an activity or a craft related to the book, and have a delicious snack. This program provides an opportunity to learn about new and interesting books and meet new friends.
Intended for grades 3-6.

Calling all gamers!
Do you like to build with Legos? Do you like or want to learn how to code? Have a blast learning how to code while building robotic games to test your code.
Students will learn about sequencing commands, value and sensor inputs, and loops.
With the robotic ring toss, your child is sure to have fun building, learning, and playing.
When: One Saturday of the month from 2 pm

Do you love all things Pokémon? Catch 'em all at our monthly Pokémon Club. Enjoy snacks, trade cards, express your creativity through a Pokémon-related craft, and hang out after school with other fans. Drop in anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to join in on the fun and make like-minded friends.
When: 1st Monday of every month at 4:00 pm
Recommended ages: 6-15.

Have fun being a part of a team as you learn to build a robot and code it to complete missions autonomously.

Come explore your child's artistic side with fun art and craft projects. Crafts are selected with children ages 2 to 6 in mind, but all ages are welcome to attend. This program can get messy, so wear your less-than-best clothes.
When: One Friday a month 10:30 am
Recommended Ages: 2-6
